Our Plan:
Stage One - Planning & Fundraising
The Planning, Fundraising and Application committees are conducting this preliminary work. Their task is to develop a business plan that incorporates building specifications and costings, marketing data and feasibility analysis. Once completed this document will form the basis for funding submissions. Planning approvals will also be obtained at this stage.
Stage Two - Construction & Fit Out
This stage will commence once project funds have been secured. The Building committee will liaise with the Builder to ensure that the building of the pool meets specifications and complies with the building plan, including time and financial constraints. The building committee will comprise of members with suitable building, engineering, financial, planning, landscaping, design and or project management experience.
Stage Three - Operational Management
This stage will encompass the facility launch and ongoing management. The Pool Launch committee will oversee these aspects. The committee will be responsible for the organisation of the opening of the pool, selection and establishment of the management team, establishment of the initial business planning and financial budgeting.
Once these functions have been satisfactorily completed, the ongoing management and strategic planning of the facility will lie with the Kangaroo Island Indoor Swimming Centre Inc. Board.
